Hours after CM Devendra Fadnavis indicated the revival of the Nanar oil refinery project which was scrapped after opposition from the Shiv Sena, Sena leader Aaditya Thackeray said the Sena was “not against development but it should not be at the cost of local citizens’ interests.” This softening of stand is seen as the Sena’s attempt to avoid bitterness with the BJP while seat-sharing talks for the assembly polls are on.
