Ruia violence: 3 senior citizens get jail

The maximum sentence businessmen Surinder (69) and Sanjay Ruia (68) faced, in a long-standing dispute with their nephew Gajanan over Ruia House, was seven years. Considering their age some leniency could be shown, said the court. It convicted them under IPC sections 452 (house trespass after preparation for hurt, assault or wrongful restraint) and 324 (voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons).
