Boy drowns in BMC ‘work in progress’ ditch

A seven-year-old boy drowned in a water-filled pit dug between two civic water supply pipelines in Kisan Nagar, Thane (west) on Sunday afternoon. The boy, Aniket Gaikwad, slipped into the pit while playing.
