K'taka villagers drain lake over HIV scare

Morab lake, Karnataka, which is roughly the size of 25 football fields had to be drained by the authorities upon failing to convince the villagers that HIV does not spread through water after an HIV woman committed suicide by drowning in the lake. The residents have been draining water for four days and it will take at least five more days to empty it.
