Mum gets almost half of season’s rain in a week

In less than 10 days since the onset of the southwest monsoon over the city, Mumbai has received 46% of its average required rainfall for the entire season. IMD statistics show the rain recorded so far has been 1,043.1mm, while the required seasonal rainfall is 2,272.2mm.
