The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Mumbai police has booked two directors of a real estate firm for duping flat buyers to the tune of over Rs 6 crore. Niraj Vaid and his wife Sapna Vaid of Srinath Builders were booked under the Maharashtra Flat Owners Act (MOFA) for allegedly taking bookings for flats and then selling them to third parties. Neeraj said it was a false case and he had filed a case against the complainants in the city civil court.
