With some weather companies forecasting a deficit monsoon, the government has decided to resort to cloud seeding this year in June to cover the shortfall in rain. Cloud seeding in the state has had limited success in the past, but the government intends to go ahead with the process at a cost of Rs 88 crore to the exchequer.
