Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) secured a place in the Guinness Record for collecting 33 tonnes of plastic bottles in 12 hours. Soon after BBMP's name got registered, the civic agency appealed to citizens to stop using single use of plastic bottles.
