Dasara celebrations suspended in Mysuru

Puttachinnammanni, Pramoda Devi Wadiyar’s mother, passed away on Friday due to age-related ailments. The family has put off Vajramushti Kalaga, a wrestling bout with clenched fists, Shami pooja and Vijaya Yatre. This is the first time in many years that the family had put off Dasara rituals. Dasara procession hosted by the Karnataka govt will not be affected.
