Loud noise triggers panic; KSNDMC says no quake

Several residents ran out of their houses fearing an earthquake. The loud noise resembled that of a huge explosion heard in granite quarries, claimed a local. Nothing to worry, it wasn't an earthquake; the sound could be an outcome of atmospheric variations, said geologists.
