MADE IN KARNATAKA: How the Pai's turned curled coconut coir into the successful Kurlon brand

Ramesh Pai struck upon the idea in the 1960s when he found cars in Europe using coir for seats. Coir had just then replaced horse and pig hair, as these were expensive. Son Sudhakar Pai has now turned Kurlon into a home comfort brand.
